New members will have the opportunity to sing with the choir for 2-3 weeks. A group audition will then be held with the Musical Director (using music already sung) after which invitations will be extended to join the choir.

Information for Concerts

We sing in the Caird Hall, Dundee, one of the finest concert halls in Europe. Our concerts are accompanied by professional musicians, most often the orchestra of Scottish Opera and the magnificent Caird Hall Organ.

A rehearsal with orchestra and soloists is held at 2pm in the Caird Hall on the afternoon of the concert.

Dress for concerts: full length black skirts or smart black trousers with long-sleeved black blouses with collar (ladies); dinner suits (black jacket, black trousers, white shirt, black bow tie) for gentlemen.

Our members are strongly encouraged to sell as many tickets as possible!

Music

All music is ordered through Dundee Choral Union, for which there is an additional charge. Members may keep their music (unless hired). Members may also use their own music - please inform the Librarian if this is the case.
