How to Join

If you have some singing experience and you'd like to join us, fill out the form below, come along to one of our early rehearsals and make yourself known to the choir Secretary.

Next Session Start Date and Concert

Monday 2nd September 2024 in Margaret Harris Hall, Dundee High School when we will start rehearsing Haydn's Nelson Mass, Mozart's Solemn Vespers, Ave Verum Corpus, God is our refuge, and Sancta Maria, mater Dei. Our next concert to perform this music is on Sunday 15th December.

Rehearsals take place on Mondays, 7-9pm in the Margaret Harris Hall, Dundee High School, Euclid Crescent, Dundee.

New members will have the opportunity to sing with the choir for 2-3 weeks. A group audition will then be held with the Musical Director (using music already sung) after which invitations will be extended to join the choir.

The 2024/25 rate will be confirmed at the AGM in September. If you join for the first time in our January session, you will be charged a half rate.

**Students, school children and unemployed: free of charge (not including music)**

Information for Concerts

We sing in the Caird Hall, Dundee, one of the finest concert halls in Europe. Our concerts are accompanied by professional musicians, most often the orchestra of Scottish Opera and the magnificent Caird Hall Organ.

A rehearsal with orchestra and soloists is held at 2pm in the Caird Hall on the afternoon of the concert.

Dress for concerts: full length black skirts or smart black trousers with long-sleeved black blouses with collar (ladies); dinner suits (black jacket, black trousers, white shirt, black bow tie) for gentlemen.

Our members are strongly encouraged to sell as many tickets as possible!

All music is ordered through Dundee Choral Union, for which there is an additional charge. Members may keep their music (unless hired). Members may also use their own music - please inform the Librarian if this is the case.
